IT in the classroom

I have just read an article in the Guardian education about the use of whiteboards in the classroom. It simply ssays that too many teachers are using them to keep the kids quiet in the classroom. Good point, but I also believe that a few teachers are using them adequately and have made huge effort and progress in their IT skills. This is a long-term project. Results will be shown only in a few years time and I sure by that time new technology will be applied in the classroom.....
